The Department of Archives, Archaeology and Museums, recovered two very rare sculptures — one of Lord Shiva and another of Goddess Indrani (God Indra’s consort) — dating back to the 12th century AD from a site in Bhour Camp area on the outskirts of Jammu, officials said.
As per preliminary findings, the Lord Shiva sculpture measures 21×14 inches and weighs approximately 40kg, while the statue of Goddess Indrani measures 28×13.5 inches and weighs around 55kg, officials said.“The sculptures depict the human forms of Goddess Indrani and Lord Shiva,” said an official.
