‘Salaar’ and ‘Dunki’ box office clash

Prabhas and Shah Rukh Khan locked horns at the box office as their films ‘Salaar’ and ‘Dunki’ respectively released back to back on December 22 and 21 respectively. Although the buzz for both the films was high prior to the release, the response that the Prabhas starrer has been receiving has been more than the Shah Ruh Khan starrer at the box office. While Dunki collected Rs 30 crore on the first day of its release, Salaar collected Rs 95 crore on its opening day. Dunki also witnessed a considerable drop on its second day.
The outcome of ‘Dunki’ in its opening weekend is still uncertain, and it remains to be seen if the film can recover and achieve a respectable total at the box office, especially considering the formidable competition from Prabhas’ film.

Sameer Wankhede reacts to Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ dialogue

Shah Rukh Khan garnered immense love and appreciation for his recent film, ‘Jawan.’ Despite the film’s popularity, some viewers observed that a specific dialogue delivered by his character Vikram Rathore, which stated “Bete ko haath lagane se pehle…” appeared to indirectly reference the Aryan Khan case.
In an interview with MensXP, Sameer shared his perspective on the dialogue, characterizing it as rather roadside. He clarified that he doesn’t typically watch movies or pay attention to dialogues, thus lacking knowledge about this specific film. Nevertheless, if the dialogue was aimed at him, he conveyed a preference for responding in English. Drawing inspiration from another writer, Sameer alluded to a history of involvement in actions resulting in burnt houses and bridges. He emphasized a lack of fear for any consequences, suggesting there’s no need for intimidation.
