Google Chrome is the go to web browser these days. It is also the most widely used browser across the globe. That said, a wide range of people use it on a daily basis and some may not be that comfortable with the English language that the browser defaults to.
Thankfully, the browser supports multiple other languages including Hindi and other regional ones. Here’s how to change the default Chrome language of Chrome on PC, Android and iOS.
Change Chrome language on Windows PC

  • Open Google Chrome on your PC
  • Click on three dots and head to the Settings option.
  • From the left, click on Languages option
  • Under Preferred languages option, click on More button
  • If the language isn’t listed, add it by clicking Add languages.
  • Click Display Google Chrome in this language.
  • This option is only available on Windows computers.
  • Restart Chrome to apply the changes.

Change Chrome language on Android

  • Launch Chrome on your Android device.
  • Tap More (three dots) on the right of the address bar, then select Settings and go to Languages.
  • Under “Chrome’s language,” tap your current language.
  • Choose the desired language from the list.
  • Once the language is downloaded, tap Restart in the toolbar.
  • The download is finished when you see “Language ready” under your newly selected language.

Change Chrome language on Mac and iPhone
On Mac, iPhone and iPad, Chrome defaults to the default language of the device. This means, if your iPhone, Mac or iPad is set to Hindi by default, then Chrome will adapt to it and display the entire user interface in Hindi. The same applies to other languages as well.
