Eight-year-old Seeza Saroj Mehta is currently the cynosure of all eyes. Playing Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara’s daughter Suji in Jawan, the little wonder has won many hearts. A resident of Pune, Seeza had appeared in many advertisements before making her big screen debut with the Atlee directorial. Talking about how she bagged the role in Jawan, Seeza said that she had to audition no less than 50 times! ‘I came to Mumbai, gave the audition and went back, and then was called again! This kept on happening for many many times, after which I was informed that I had bagged the role.’

Shah Rukh Khan touches another milestone, becomes first Indian actor to achieve THIS record. Deets inside

Telling us about her first interaction with Shah Rukh, Seeza said that the first day she reached the sets, she was standing on the terrace, when Shah Rukh tapped on her shoulder from behind and she got scared! “When I saw him, he introduced himself and said that you can call me Shah Rukh uncle and if that is too hard, you can call me SRK uncle”, she excitedly shares.Talking more about her equation with SRK, Seeza said that he is very funny, loving and pampered her a lot, even taking her to his vanity van! “He also asked me if he could kiss me on my forehead and I said yes!”, she says.
Did Seeza know who SRK was before Jawan? ‘I knew who SRK uncle was, but I did not know he was such a big star,’ she told us, surprised!
Did Seeza miss out on studies while shooting? ‘Sometimes’, she says, but also added, “I took all my books, such as Maths and English on the set. Whenever I used to get the time, I used to study, and everyone helped me too.”
Seeza was also full of praises for her Atlee ‘uncle’ and said that she misses him a lot, now that they don’t see each other everyday. ‘Atlee uncle is very sweet and took very good care of me.’ Sharing an anecdote about him, Seeza said, “Atlee sir does not know any Hindi, so sometimes, he used to not know what to say while talking to the crew, but everyone helped him.”

In the movie, Seeza plays the brave daughter of the Head of Force One, who helps her mother and step-father fight injustice, in her own special way. In real life, is Seeza as brave or is there something she is scared of? She quickly answers, “I am scared of the dark”. She then adds, “No actually, I am not scared of the dark, I am only scared of what is inside the dark.”
Even though this is just her first movie, Seeza is sure that she wants to become an actor when she grows up, but she will complete her studies first.
Finally, apart from her favourite ‘uncles’, (Shah Rukh and Atlee), which other star was her favourite? ‘Ridhi (Dogra) aunty! She is very sweet and I would love to work with her again!’, she wraps up.
