Sandeep Reddy Vanga‘s ‘Animal‘ is one of the highest grossing films this year. While it is the number one grosser in Canada, it has become the fourth highest grosser in North America.
The film recently joined the Rs 800 crore club, achieving a stylish milestone by grossing Rs 862.2 crore worldwide within three weeks of its release on December 1. According to a trade analyst, the film is fast approaching 15 million dollar mark. He also mentioned that ‘Baahubali 2’ with $22 million, ‘Pathaan’ with $17.48 million and ‘Jawan‘ with $15.25 million are the top 3 highest grossing Indian films in North America. He also added that ‘Animal’ became the ‘highest grossing Hindi film on day 1’ in North America.

Earlier, in a discussion with film trade analyst Komal Nahta, Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed his involvement in the creation of the OTT version of ‘Animal.’ Expressing his disappointment with certain elements of the film, he shared his intention to edit and modify them for the version set to be released on OTT.

Reflecting on his initial viewing of the Ranbir Kapoor-led film, Sandeep Reddy Vanga openly discussed his observations. He acknowledged encountering various issues, such as discrepancies in the song, inconsistencies in makeup, and costume irregularities in specific scenes. Regarding content, he highlighted sound-related challenges, attributing them to the complexity of managing releases in five different languages. He recounted the chaotic last 20 days of the project, detailing the struggle with sound checks in Chennai and expressing regret for not extending his stay to tackle these challenges.

Ranbir Kapoor’s revenge drama, ‘Animal,’ had a global theatrical release on December 1 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. The film features an ensemble cast, including Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna in leading roles. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh,’ the movie explores the toxic relationship between a father and son. Anil Kapoor portrays the emotionally distant father, while Ranbir Kapoor takes on the role of the traumatized and angry son.
