This time around, Panday chose a chiffon red sari with floral prints from Dohr India, adding in a fresh look to her red sari collection. She paired the number with a spaghetti-strapped blouse. Opting for a minimalistic approach to accessories, she wore a pair of pearl studs. Her hair was styled in a slightly tousled bun, and she complemented the look with a classic smokey eye, nude lips, and a micro bindi.
For the promotion event of her movie, Linger, Panday turned to the design expertise of Arpita Mehta. “Ananya Panday looks gorgeous in our flaming red ruffled sari. It is a lightweight organza sari with ruffled tiers at the bottom, and features tone-on-tone delicate hand-embroidery done in a linear fashion. Since it is a tone-on-tone look, it’s an understated glam look. Rather than giving her a modest blouse, we kept the look sensual by teaming it with a bralette,” explains Mehta. To complete the ensemble, she opted for stone-embellished choker necklace from Amrapali Jewels.
For a Lakmé India ad shoot, Panday opted a fresh-off-the-runway look in a deep fuchsia sari from designer Ridhi Mehra’s Lakmé Fashion Week collection. The chiffon and organza drape featured a hue that straddled the line between berry pink and soft red. The sari had ruffled details on the pallu, pleats, and border. Panday complemented the sari with an embroidered sleeveless blouse that featured sequins and gota-patti work.
In the ever-prevailing trend of red sweeping through the fashion landscape, Ananya Panday exemplifies its enduring charm. Across her diverse collection, featuring saris, lehenga sets, and dresses, one constant prevails—the captivating red hue. Panday’s consistent incorporation of red in her fashion choices emphasises its sustained popularity, making it a stylish and timeless option for those attending weddings this season.
